CNN) The World Health Organization( WHO) has declared the monkey pox outbreak a public health exigency of transnational concern. The decision was blazoned Saturday morning after WHO convened its alternate exigency commission on the issue onThursday.WHO defines a public health exigency of transnational concern, or PHOENIXES , as" an extraordinary event" that constitutes a" public health threat to other countries through the transnational spread of complaint" and" to potentially bear a coordinated transnational response."
