Pervez Musharraf biography

Pervez Musharraf is a sheltered four- star general and politician who served as the President of Pakistan from 2001 to 2008. Born on August 11, 1943, in Delhi, British India, Musharraf joined the Pakistan Army in 1964 and rose through the species to come its Chief of Army Staff in 1998. He took over as President in a military achievement in 1999 and latterly won a controversial vote to extend his rule in 2002. During his administration, Musharraf faced review for his mortal rights record, including allegations of wide corruption, political suppression, and the repression of the press. He abnegated from the administration in 2008 and went into tone- exile in London. In 2016, he returned to Pakistan to share in the general choices but was barred from running for office and faced several legal challenges related to his rule.
